Paternity

Establish paternity through:

  • Affidavit of Parentage (DCH-0682) — sign at hospital or county office
  • 60-day rescission — either parent can rescind within 60 days (MCL 722.1007)
  • After 60 days: Revocation of Parentage Act (ROPA) (MCL 722.1431)
  • Paternity Act (MCL 722.711) — court action with DNA testing
