Arkansas does NOT have state board certification for family law specialists.

Look for: AAML membership (American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers), Arkansas Bar Association Family Law Section membership, NBTA Family Law certification (national), and substantial family law experience.

Hourly rates: $200-$400+ (Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas typically higher).

Retainers: $3,000-$10,000+ for contested custody/divorce cases.

Flat fees: $1,000-$2,500 for uncontested divorce.
